Headache may be a marker of persistent COVID-19 symptoms, new research suggests

In patients hospitalized for COVID-19, new or worsening headache may be a marker of post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), new data suggest.

“Headache is a common symptom of acute COVID-19 and PASC,” according to Dr Teshamae Monteith and colleagues at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, USA. “However, the clinical course and associated factors remain unknown.”
