Extent of systolic BP variability linked to outcomes after EVT

Higher systolic blood pressure variability (BPV) after endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is associated with a poorer functional outcome, according to new findings from a large multicenter study.

At AAN 2021, Dr Ayush Prasad from the Division of Neurocritical Care and Emergency Neurology at Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut, USA, reported data from a study to characterize BPV after EVT, and the effects on functional outcome.
