The Nordic Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke Study (NOR-FIB) is using implantable cardiac monitors to follow up patients after stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). Although the study is still recruiting patients, preliminary results have revealed a high proportion of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) or atrial flutter.
